August 2 - Dried Hydrangea, Day 3---Just a hint of what's to come...

  • July 31 - Dried Hydrangea, Day One - Several people have asked how I dry my hydrangea blooms. I cut this yesterday as it was beginning to dry on the bush, the dark pink was fading and the petals begin to feel a bit papery. I cut it with a stem, strip the leaves and put it in water. If I cut it while it's still fresh on the plant, I'll have a good cut flower for a while, and then it will just wilt. I'll shoot this bloom through out the week to track the changes. Watch what happens...
