December 23 - It's a good thing I took this the other day, because it looks like there will be no White Christmas for us this year...

  • December 31 - 2019 has been a year of firsts...It's the first time either of us has lived outside Southern California. In a year we've had new experiences and learned new skills. Each day we go new places, see new things, meet new people and make new friends. We have a new view, a new church family and wear all new clothes - it's like a whole new life.<br /> One year ago we knew all of this was ahead of us. We didn't really know how it would all go. Do we like it? Would we do it again?? The answer is a resounding YES! A big "Thank You" to Rosenberger Construction LLC for helping us make all of this possible - We love our new home and all the newness in each new day and we are excited to see what new things 2020 has in store for us.<br /> <br /> #CY365 - Signs of a Year Ending

  • December 29 - Today I want to say Thank You.<br /> <br /> In 2013 when I began my Photo-a-Day project I came across a group called Capture Your 365. The group started by Katrina Kennedy was made up of other daily photographers following a given prompt. What began as a Flickr group grew to a website and daily blog followed by folks around the world.  By participating all these years I learned more about photography, creativity and expression than I ever dreamed. Along the way I made friends - good friends. December 31 marks the last day of CY365.  Katrina's life has moved on (as it tends to do, especially as a mom) and she is moving on to other creative endeavors.  But I wanted to take time to say "Thank You Katrina". Thank you for your vision.  Thank you for your time.  Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement.  And even thank you for making self portraits a recurring prompt - I learn the most those days.  <br /> <br /> So what's next...well now we begin a new group called "365 Picture Today".  For my photography friends who have been thinking of doing a 365 Project, this might be the time to start.  Check out the website <a href="http://www.365picturetoday.com">http://www.365picturetoday.com</a>.  The fun begins on January 1st and I'm looking forward to it.

  • December 18 - Our finest gifts we bring...<br /> I come from a long line of cookie bakers. Each Christmas as I bake my selection of Christmas Cookies, I use recipes passed along from my grandma, my mom, family and friends. As I bake, I have a chance to reflect on all those cherished memories - making each cookie baked with love.<br /> <br /> #CY365 - Tradition
